Sync Issues...

I am still evaluating your software. I have another issue that I need to overcome. I am using a WinTV PVR-250. I am running svideo and the audio directly into this card. While watching LiveTV, the audio and video are out of sync. It may happen in the recordings as well but, I have not checked. How do you fix it?

Thanks,

Frank T. Lee

Is the audio out of sync all the time, or just when you change channels? If that's the case, pause the video for a few seconds, and then start it again. Or, skip back or forward and the audio and video should resync. Channel changing currently (especially quick channel changes) can cause a momentary loss of sync.

If it's all the time, there is a setting in detailed setup that will allow you put a delay on the audio stream manually to resync the audio and video. Let us know if that helps, Frank.

The first thing Mark mentions is only valid for Provideo/Creative cards. Not for the Hauppauge cards since they have audio & video hardware encoding.

Correct on the second one.

Whoops - sorry for the misinformation. As you can tell, I'm currently running on a provideo card. Looking forward to running a 350 as well soon, though.
