Licensing - I screwed up - Help!

So I screwed up a bit. I installed sagetv client on a second laptop last night. I though the licensing for the client was only one client connected at a time, and they could share the license key. That's how it is with placeshifter, so I assumed (incorrectly) it was the same way.

so I need to completely remove sagetv on that laptop so I can test the client again. Is there ANYWAY to do this without rebuilding the laptop. I removed sage client, and the directories, and searched the registry, but didn't find the correct keys to delete. Am I stuck with a fdisk/winxp reinstall? It's not a really big deal, as I have next to nothing on this laptop, but still it's not something I want to do if I don't have to.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just reboot your Server so that your original client can connect again and let the next time you rebuild the laptop remove the keys - whenever that is. You could also run the client with the REGISTER command and give it empty name and key info to remove the key _I think thats right_ Opus4 can confirm this however.

Thanks. The original client works fine. I just wanted to get a new client setup. reading the faq now.

Regarding the new client - it's an older pIII 400 w/ 192 RAM. Obviously I want to try before I buy on that machine.
