recording starting 2 min early

I have 2 tuner system and everything was great until about a month ago. Now all of my recordings are starting 2 min early. I've checked the server, client, and direct TV clocks and all of them are the same. I was thinking it was padding but I don't have that set up and it's only recording 1 hour. Has anyone seen this problem before?

What time does the recording start according to the PC clock on the SageTV system? If an 8:00 recording starts at 8:00, then it is starting on time, but the TV feed's clock is different. A lot of people use start and/or end padding to make sure to catch the start or end of shows that might be slightly shifted from what your local clock says.

Yes, I checked again last night and it's showing the right time and I watched it start recording at 7:58.

What show are you recording?

And, could you double check the Manual Recording or Favorite to make sure there isn't any padding set? If you didn't add the padding yourself, did you install the customization to add some default padding to new recordings/favs?

Now it starts 3 min ahead

I think I posted here a few weeks ago about a problem that I was having. I been busy so I haven't had the time to work on it but now it's starting to become a real problem.

I have 2 tuners 150 and 250. One is the primary tuner, I not sure which, and it starts recording 3 min before it should and finishes 60 min later. If the program starts at 8pm and finishes at 9pm. It will start recording at 7:57pm and stop at 8:57pm. The second tuner works perfectly. All three clocks, server, client, and dish network, show the same time. There is no padding on any of my shows. I don't have the last version but I do have v5.xxx. Any one heard or seen anything like this. I don't know where to continue trouble shooting it.

Thanks

One tuner starts & ends early, while the other tuner starts & ends on time? Strange. Are they both using the same EPG channel lineup?

I previously asked: If you didn't add the padding yourself, did you install the customization to add some default padding to new recordings/favs?

I might have but it only still only records 1 hour. If I had padding wouldn't it recording be more than an hour?

Negative padding can make it stop early too.

If it's only padded early and not also late I assume?

Setting the padding to start and stop 3 minutes early would result in a 60 minute recording. If only one tuner is doing it then it's really strange unless there is padding set for those shows.

If the global padding import was added it would only add padding to favorites that were added after it was installed, which would account for why some have it and others don't.

If it's not a padding issue I don't know if anyone is going to be able to help you figure it out. Have you tried contacting tech support?

I deleted the drivers and rebooted to make sure that sage didn't see any cards. Then I added them back rebooted. I hope this will take care of the problem but I won't know until tonight. I will keep you posted. Thanks for all of your help.
