Angry After Lockup - Sage Not working

Need help! Sage TV locked up this afternoon, and after resetting the computer, Sage TV had become "reset". The wiz.bin file was reset. Here's what I know:

Reset computer, the startup wizard was displayed.
Checked settings files, the properties files are fine. I keep my wizard databases on a different hard drive. Checked the path to the wizard files and the dates on the wizard files - Wizard databases are in the correct path. But, Sage TV isn't accessing them. I checked the properties files, and they point to the correct path, but for some reason, Sage TV isn't using them, it's using new wiz.bin files in the local SageTV folder (with the sagetv.exe). Ok... so I don't know why it's not using the correct files, even though the properties file is fine... so I copy the wiz.bin file into the local SageTV folder - after starting Sage, the wiz.bin file is effectively erased and the startup wizard is displayed.

Ok... so I figure my wiz.bin file is corrupt, with a time stamp of 1pm... so I load the wiz.bak file with a time stamp of 1am... again, sage tv erases the file. (by erase, I mean the wiz.bin file starts out at 6mb, and after starting sage, is reduced to about 1.5mb).

Please help!

Since my wiz.bin and wiz.bak files (at least wiz.bak) has an old time stamp, I wouldn't think that it would be corrupted. Maybe wiz.bin... but replacing it with wiz.bak from when Sage was working last night should have corrected the problem.

1) Why isn't sage using the wiz.bin file specified in the properties file? (checked both sage.properties and sageclient.properties)
2) Why doesn't sage process my wiz.bin files properly?
3) I've had sage lockup in the past, but it's never done this before!

Thanks!

I guess I should point out that I'm using Sage ver.4. I haven't checked here in a while, and I guess there's now a version 5. I will probably upgrade once I get my problem straightened out.

Make sure the exe is running from the directory you think it is running from. Since the system crashed, consider the possibility of more hard drive errors & do a full drive test.

If you are getting the configuration wizard when you start SageTV, that means the properties file(s) may be corrupt & it is starting all over with those files too.

You can try enabling debug logging to see if the log gives any info. But, if the properties file is corrupt, you may need to start with a new file to get debug logging turned on.

Try a System Restore. I can't tell you how many times that's saved my HTPC.
