ATI DVI to Component - no green?

I am having a weird ATI 9700 card problem and was wondering if anyone else out there has seen this before. I did a rig tear-down this weekend to add a new HD and move a few partitions around - everything there worked great. I hooked the system up to my HDTV and once I got the settings right it was great - clearer than ever before; but with one problem. I have no green, none. I have checked every resolution and setting that ATI Catalyst has to offer and I still can't get green back. On my flat pannel Dell monitor, hooked up to the VGA port, everything looks great - all the colors are in the spectrum. Right now I have the HDTV hooked up to the DVI using the ATI DVI to component dongle (the one with the 6 dip switches). When I unplug the red component line - the red on the monitor goes out, when I unplug the blue, nothing happens; but when I unplug the green my HDTV goes blue screen and says no signal. I'm not sure what to do here and how to fix this - Sage works great, looks fantastic, but its kinda weird watching a TV with out any green. Any ideas?

PS I'm running the most recent downloadable version of Catalyst, and drivers from ATI.

Thanks

Are you sure you don't have a bad cable?

I had a bad cable once and I ended up with roughly the same problem (although I might not have had red?). Anyway, I switched to a different set of cables and voila, no problems. The cable carrying green might be snapped (internally) or may not be insulated enough and experiencing some kind of interference.

Also, are you sure you have the right color order? I remember I also had a color problem once, when I hooked up my geforce 6600. The order of colors on my dongle for the 6600 was different that the order on my hdtv. I think my dongle was like RGB, but my tv was GBR and that messed up the color.
