Suspend Favorites

Is there a way to suspend the recording of all the "Favorites" ? I don't want to remove any, just stop the recording for a period of time.

Unless there was a customization that I've forgotten about, there isn't a way to temporarily suspend all your Favorites.

Someone once suggested setting the favs to limit them to a channel where the show doesn't air, but then you would have to do that for all favs & then reset them all when you want them to record again.

There's only about 60 or so "Favorites", just have to go through manually. Ideally, it would be nice to suspend the reruns, continue to record the first runs.

I'm just runing out of hd space, once again. I see where Maxtor has a 1 tb drive. Are you sure Sage isn't really a hd manufacturer ??

Outpost has a 500GB Maxtor Pata for 179.99 and last week it was a 500GB SataII for 179.90 next week it will probably be another brand of 500GB drive. I've bought (since April) about 5 SataII 500GB drives for Raid5 Array. 3 Seagate and 2 Maxtor.

OT, but since you mentioned SATA2 would there be any benefit to purchasing a SATA2 drive if my board only has onboard SATA?

Don't know. But I can tell you that I'm using them in SATA1 mode now. The larger drives only come in SATA2 I believe. Maybe at income tax return season I'll get a SATA2 controller but SATA1 works well for me so far.
