Nvidia DualTV Remote using Universal

I'm seriously thinking of buying the DualTV and there is an option to include the remote feature and save $50.
It still possible to use my universal remote with it or do I need the IR cable made specifically for the card?
I do have an old Hauppage 250/350 IR cable and remote. Is it possible to use that IR cable if the DualTV doesn't come with one?

You would still need some sort of IR input into the computer, whether it's another product, or a cable that plugs directly into the card. Once you have an input, you could teach your universal remote whichever codes it needed to know.

You can only use the Hauppauge cable if you still have your 250/350 installed in the computer.

I believe that if you order the card w/remote, that it comes with an IR receiver. But I do not own one of the cards, so I can't be 100% positive.
