upgrading or re-installing

When either upgrading to a higher version, or re-installing the same version, what needs to be done to ensure that all the programs currently recorded and stored can be accessed again after the upgrade?

There's an FAQ about it, but basically, nothing, Sage doesn't nuke anything on re-install/upgrade.

The sage.properties, sageclient.properties, and wiz.bin contain all your info, so you can back them up to be safe.

The Beta Test forum section has a sticky about how to install an upgrade & covers making a complete backup... but those most important files that stanger mentioned are automatically backed up when you first run a new version -- it creates copies of them, adding ".SageTV v<old version #>" to the end of the filenames.
