Beta Version 1.2.2 Available

If you have previously downloaded or purchased a copy of SageTV, you should've just received an email with a link to the newest version 1.2.2. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A BETA VERSION AND HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED IN LIMITED ENVIRONMENTS. In this version we have added/fixed a number of items:

- We added mutliple tuner support. You can now record multiple channels at the same time! (If you have mutliple compatible tuner cards that is.)
- We added PAL audio support for the Hauppauge cards
- We removed the language dependencies

Please post all questions/comments/issues here or email us at support@freytechnologies.com. I've also attached a detailed list of what's been added/fixed with the last couple of releases.

Okay - this SageTV is getting more expensive all the time :-)
Now I have to go out and get another TV Tuner Card...
[I'm hoping to be able to postpone my "upgrade fever" 'til
a FusionHDTV or equivalent card is supported...]

Does the second tuner card have to be the same as the first tuner card? If I have a WinTV PVR 250 does the second card have to also be a PVR 250?

No it does not, BUT you may have problems if you mix a 250 & a 350 as we have not tested that configuration yet and I read something one time that there might be issues with it. Here's what's been tested to our knowledge with multi-tuner and works fine:

Setup #1
2 x Provideo 256T

Setup #2
1 x Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250
1 x Provideo 256T

Setup #3
1 x Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350
1 x Creative VBDVCR
1 x Provideo 256T

Setup #4
2 x Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350
1 x Creative VBDVCR
1 x Provideo 256T

I can't seem to find where to buy a Provideo 256T anywhere.

Do you think that 2 WinTV PVR250's would work or do you think that this combo would have the same potential problems as a PVR 250 and PVR 350 combination?

I'm going to be trying 1 x Provideo 256T and 1 x PVR-350, probably starting tonight.

2 PVR250s should have no problems. That's what I'd recommend.
