Very strange MVP booting problem

I sent a description of this problem also to support, but was wondering whether anyone can help.. Sorry for the long text - but I need to explain quite some things.

I have been using the combination of SageTV and a MediaMVP extender successfully for quite a while using a PC called ´tv-pc´. As this PC is used for multiple purposes I decided to buy a complete new PC to become my MediaServer. This PC is called ´Mediaserver.

On both of the PC´s I have SageTV v5.0.4.92 and Java 1.5.0_06. On ´tv-pc´3 PC clients and a MediaMVP are attached and working fine with a PVR-350 card.

On ´Mediaserver´ (containing a PVR-500 card) the sageapp on the pc itself is running fine, and placeshifter is also working great. The same MediaMVP however refuses to connect to it. When starting the MVP I see a list of the 2 pc´s but when selecting the ´Mediaserver´it says afterwards it cannot find the server and tells me to reset the server and brings me back to the list of the two pc´s. On ´Mediaserver´the firewall is OFF (to avoid problems at this time), the service and extender are enabled. Restarting the server or PC, nor re-installing from scratch help! I see no differences between the two setups.

AND NOW the strange part. When I boot the MediaMVP using the TV-PC selection, it boots up and shows the UI session of the ´MediaServer´! So it seems that the mvp fetches the bin from the TV-PC and then carries on with the Mediaserver!!
At this time (temporarily) both licenses are identical, maybe that is the reason for this mixup.

When I remove TV-PC from the network I can continue to use the MVP until I shut it down and have to reboot, from then on it fails...

Can someone please help me?? I cannot keep this PC-TV alive forever. I have investigated all mvp threads and checked all hints. FYI the MediaServer is based on a ASROCK AliveNF4G-DVI - that contains a nForce NIC that probably has a HW firewall (learned that in the forum). Therefore I am using a plain DLINK DFE-500TX ethernet pci card. No firewall on that

. So that is not the reason.

What can I do to solve this problem?
