Sage 5.04 changing channels on its own

This is new...nearing the end of my demo, and everything looks good..

however...

Sage wants to change channels at both the bottom and top of the hour, and whenever the listed program ends (you know how Letterman ends at 12:37am).

Oddly, it changes channels to what appears to be something random, often channels I have never either watched or recorded from (like the Westerns movie channel...hey...it's part of a package).

I know there's a requester for forcing a channel change, but I thought that was only for recordings in case someone changed the channel with another remote control, and if a recording was to begin.

Now it appears to be totally out of control and random...

help...

It sounds like you have Intelligent Recording enabled, which will record just about anything when you don't have much viewing history for it to base its choices on.

If you are watching live TV hen this happens, then it should just be going to the same channel you are already watching as the show changes. (Unless it needs to switch to a Favorite or Manual Recording that is scheduled.)

OK, it appears that it wants to select the same channel every time.

Does it make sense that the last channel I selected with the Hauppauge remote is the channel that it wants to keep going to (I have a UHF satellite remote that I use from time to time, which makes me think it's just trying to retune the last Hauppauge picked channel.)

I understand why it would do this at top and bottom of the hour, but beyond those times am stumped

While watching live TV, it will set the channel every time a new show comes on, which can often be every half hour.

See p. 190 of the v5.0 manual for the "Always tune channel" option in Detailed Setup -> Customize. You may or may not want to change that.
