How-To: delete a recorded program with fewer button pushes

I'm browsing the recorded shows listings. In a folder there are many episodes of a show. I want to delete some of these recordings without watching them.

It takes like 5 or 6 button pushes to just delete the recording the way I'm doing it.

There must be a better way with one or two button-pushes?

you can hit delete on your keyboard or else map a remote button to "delete". That way, you have just 3 button presses, 'delete', 'left' to pick YES, and 'select'.

Not that I know of. To get less than 3 button presses, I think you'd have to edit the STV to remove the confirmation prompt. That way, you could have a single button press delete but you'd have no safety.

As for mapping a button on the remote, if you have an unused button, it is fairly easy to do.
