Would like easier way to set padding

One thing that I keep on doing is right clicking with my mouse. I guess I use the right click to much when I surfing the web...

One thing find a little cumbersome is adding padding to a recording. First there doesn't seem to be a default so that I add 2 minutes or so to the beginning and end of a recording and secondly to change the padding I first need to click on a program so I can tell Sage that I need to record it. Once that is done I need to click on it again and go through the same screens almost but now I have the option to changed the padding. It would be nice if the padding option would be available earlier.

There is a plugin here that lets you set a default padding amount.
