Pause at hour mark?

I noticed that every hr at the hour mark, the screen goes blank for a sec, then goes back to normal. Is this normal? It's mildy annoying.

The same thing happens here too. I don't enjoy that. What causes it? And when this happens, it resets my volume to MAX.

Shouldn't be resetting your volume, but it's normal. It's the pause between starting & stopping a recording (between shows).

I'm assuming that your watching Live tv, there's not a whole lot you can do about it.
