Using the data Polen collected about the distribution of days where betas were released, I used a weighted average based on the number of betas released on a given day of the week. I came up with an astonishing result.... the beta will without a doubt be released on a day of the week that ends with the letters D A Y.

Andy,

A bunch of us got together and started a bet pool for when SageTV 5.1 Beta will be released. Everyone is buying a day and hour that it will be released. Thousands of $$$ are in the pool.

I didn't want to leave you out. So, what day and hour do you want to buy?

-Polen

Hey guys,

Something I just noticed, Andy hasn't posted very much since last night. Maybe he got the latest Beta and has been running it through the paces. This means it's possible that they released a new beta to the Beta testers and are waiting for their responses.

I'm right there with Polen, I check at least 10 times a day and am optimistic everytime that I may see the new beta, just sucks that I've been doing that for what, 3 weeks now I think. I bet its released this weekend since I will have no time to use it.

If they released yet another beta to the testers that means another week or so of testing before they release it to us doesn't it?

Not necessarily, most of the time when you're fixing a bug you'll fix it and then crank out a new build in order to verify it is actually fixed.
