Main Menu GONE!!!!

Help!!!

I was using the SageMC, and someone I messed it up so that I don't have a main menu (tv, settings, dvd, etc.) Thus, I have no way of changing the STV back to SageTV.

How do I manually fix the problem?

Help!!!!

First, take a deep breath! Okay. Shut down Sage, if you have it running as a service, stop it too. Open your SageTV install dir (C:\program files\sagetv\sagetv) and look for SageClient.properties, if you run as service. I assume Sage.properties if you don't. Open with Notepad, look for stv line and change back to SageTV3.xml for default. Start service, then client..

Or, with SageTV or SageTVClient running, you can hit Ctrl+Shift+12 to open a Studio window, and use Studio's File > Open command to load the STV of your choice. Personally I find this easier than shutting down services and monkeying with property files.

You might have accidentally enabled the dynamic main menu. If you don't have the menu.xml set up, you will just get a blank menu. See if this post helps.

Aloha,
Mike

Thanks,

That helped me get back to the normal view, but if I go back to SageMC, it is screwed up, I have no menu entries for that. Any ideas?

Did you follow the link in my last post? I'm pretty sure that is what you are dealing with.
