Other Media Players - All Blue

This problems seems to have started when I installed Nero Showtime. It seems that once in a while (not too often - perhaps once every week or so) if I try playing a video with Nero Showtime or now any other player such as Real player, Microsoft media player, etc. I get sound but the screen is all blue. I have checked all apps in the task manager and it seems like the only way to clear the problem is to reset my workstation.

The last video I tried this with was an mpg file from Sage (not even an mp4 file) and it still played with a blue screen (sound is fine though) in all my media players. But, Sage played the mpg fine (using Sage decoders) and also VideoRedo played the video without a blue screen. But, Real Player, Microsoft media player and Nero Showtime all have blue screens unless I do a reset. Then the problem is gone until about a week and it all starts over again. I cannot figure out what is triggering it to start.

Any ideas?
