Question MVP and DivX

My MPV is supposed to be able to decode DivX videos, how do i get SageTV not to transcode the DivX before it gets to the MPV?

Thanks

[EDIT] I wonder why i keep spelling MVP the wrong way... sorry! [/EDIT]

I was under the impression that the MVP had a hardware MPEG2 decoder and couldn't decode Divx. Is there some new version of the MVP that I am unaware of?

The MVP can't decode Divx internally. The way that it did work was that the Hauppauge software on your computer would transcode the divix into mpeg and stream that to the MVP, just like Sage does.

Oh boy, i was just reading on my MediaMVP box the minimum requirements:
750MHz or faster. For DivX playback, 1.8GHz or faster. So yes, it still needs to be transcoded...

I had the same reaction when I got mine. Has that big Divx sticker on the front and then you get the letdown when you notice the "fine print" in the manual that the software still handles it.
