Question Using Hauppage Remote to Control Volume on Amp Using USBIRT

I am almost there. I have only one remote control that does almost everything.

The one remaining challenge is controlling the volume of the Surround Sound Amp from the Silver Hauppage Remote

Since I am using a SPDIF connection between the SageTV PC and the Amp, Sage does not have control over the volume.

I have defined a new IR code for USBIRT that controls the volume on the Amp now I need to link this to the volume up and down keys on the Hauppage Remote.

Can this be done within Sage or is this an ir.ini modification?

Any advice appreciated

I have no idea if you can do this from within sage, but I control
my entire system from one remote using Girder. I don't recommend
this to the faint of heart, though - it's a rather involved process.
For your use you might be able to run Girder along with sage and
simply program Girder to capture your volume buttons. Girder can
then blast the receiver volume codes out through the UIRT. I'm not
sure if you can get sage to ignore the incoming button presses,
though.
