some cheap dvd's studder with ffdshow... and how do i stop it from processing avi's?

right now I think i have ffdshow set to process all video, or raw video, or something like that. What do I change it to so it ONLY processes DVD movies?

Also, for some reason, ffdshow causes problems with some cheaper DVD's. Like... the only real example I can think of right now is a porn DVD my friend brought over...

It causes the audio to studder and the video to play like 1 frame every 10 seconds, it's really bad. I usually have to end up restarting the computer.
