Service very slow to launch?

I know the first time you run v6 it is expected to be slow; however, I've stopped and started numerous times and sometimes it still takes forever to launch. Other times it is as quick as usual. There are a lot of the following:

Code:
Thu 10/5 8:42:41.457 Ministry is waiting for 180 sec
Log file shows +30 minutes and still waiting. BTW cpu usage is 0% during all of this. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this or not.

Mine too. It seem to be every time (or at least very often) that I restart sage service it take ages to start. The difference is from you that my CPU-usage hit 100% with intensive harddisk usage.

I wonder if it is rebuilding my wiz.bin every time for some reason or something like that. Maybe because I tried to import flac files to the media library. After ca 1 hour everything is normal, but during that period there is no contact to the Sage.

That's not my problem, mine shows the directories as scanned and I get the waiting for ministry over and over again. I've been trying for 2 hrs now and have yet to get Sage to load. I just hope I can get it going before prime-time tonight.

Also it seems to freeze a lot of other things on the computer. I can't VNC into the box or launch other programs when it hangs up.

I've had the same thing.

When I first boot the PC, Sage starts but freezes on 'loading service' (not sure wxactly what it says now!)

The service is using no CPU power. I have not had the patience to sit it out yet, so I have so far left it in this state for about 15mins. I then have to boot into safe mode, disable the service, then reboot. I can now start the service manually which seems to work fine.

When the service hangs, there is not much else that I can do with the PC. it freezes most other things.
