PCM audio with v6
I've sent a bug report to Sage, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem too and it's not just some small oversight on my part...
I've ripped a whole bunch of music videos from my Music DVDs, so each one is a self-contained .vob file. All the .vob files contain PCM audio only and haven't been compressed or altered in any way. When I try to play these .vob files in Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, etc. the files play normally. SageTV v5.0.4 Client also played them without a problem. When I play these through Placeshifter v6 with the v6 service the audio is fine too. However, when I play through the SageTV v6 Client I get NO audio. When I check the Detailed info it says the audio is AC3?? I know for a fact the audio is PCM though. The Detailed Info in Placeshifter also says AC3, but yet it plays fine(the server is transcoding it). I've tried removing ALL foreign codecs too with only the Nvidia decoder, but same problem with the v6 Client. I am using strictly analog stereo out...
Anyone else have this problem? I'm guessing this is an mplayer issue as well...
