SageTV Client

Hi; I'm really amped up about using SageTV as my Media Center software/server, but am Having a problems with Imported Video's over the SageTV Client. Once the movie starts I get sound, but no video.

I've got a dvd decoder on the client side (nvidia, and cyberlink) both of which when enabled don't seem to do much of anything through SageTv Client. They both work fine with WMP or my DVD Player software.

On the server, I'm running the Nvidia decoder. I am running the server on a windows MCE install.

Additionally, I am having issues with Imported Video's playing on the server (HTPC) itself. On the server, video and sound play no problems, up until I get to a menu. at which time the animated menu appears to freeze, until it restarts, which it will start playing a bit and then stop (freezes) again. The menu functions seem to work okay if I click with a mouse, but it's problematic with a remote as I don't know what menu option I'm on. This seems to be only a problem on MCE(?) OS, the xppro testbox I used did not have this problem. If I absolutly must change back to XPPro, I will, but I would like to get this working properly via MCE.

Any help here would be great, as I really like this software package and do want to purchase it and use it as my Media Center/PVR solution.

When you say imported videos what type are you referring too? If you are trying to watch an XVID, DivX, etc. you need to install a decoder such as FFDSHOW, or similar..

Hi; I'm trying to play my DVD's that have been copied to HDD // .VOB files and such. Again the Decoder for these files work via other means IE: Intervideo DVD Player, Windows Media Player on the "client" workstation and the Server side. Just not through Sage Client.

Regards;
