Sage deleting some of my manual recordings

I'm noticing Sage is sometimes deleting my manual recordings ... anyone have any idea why? The only thing that seems to be consistent is it deletes it if I have watched a part of it after it has been recorded (but that is NOT to say I watched the entire video up to the prompt at the end which asks me to delete) What I do typically is check a part of the video to verify it and then I just press "Stop". Then by the next time I look at my videos (maybe later that day or the next day) that video is GONE. Just to be sure, I disabled the prompt to delete at the end of watching a recording, but that was done just recently so I have not had a chance to see if Sage still deletes videos on me.

Were the recordings complete?

Did you use the Record command or menu options on those recordings & ended up removing the Manual Recording status for them? If so, SageTV will feel free to delete them.

Are you using a custom STV or any STV imports?

You could enable debug logging to get info on why/when any file is deleted.

Yeah the recordings were complete.

I recorded it by using the record button on my remote which opened up some recording options menu and I said Record this show. Once I did that the info box on the top of the screen turned from a white outlined box to a red outlined box.

Later that day or the next day in some cases I would go into the Main Menu and choose something like SageTV Recordings and I'd find my video there and play a bit of it. I might fast forward some but I never watched the entire video. I then press the Stop button and I go back to watch live TV. Then the next time I go into that menu, that video might be simply gone.

I use regular V5 SageTV no plugins or anything.

I will try the debug logging so I can try catch it next time

It's still happening. It happens only when I record things from my Satellite service (not a package like DirecTV, it;s one of those satellites you buy a smart card for a channel or two separately and most other channels are FTA).

Since it's not a standard TV service I have no guide data for this channel, It just breaks up the satellite signal into 2 hour blocks regardless of what programs are actually playing. Anyway I have Sage record some blocks sometimes and I might review them later using Sage (going into the SageTV Recordings section) and *sometimes* those videos I review manage to get deleted by the program. I _certainly_ never specified to delete them. SageTV is deleting them for some odd reason.

I guess I'll have to enable logging
