SageTV will not start

Wow, after two weeks of waiting for the next release of SageTV to fix my non-english windows version problem guess what i install the new beta version and it won't start. So big surprise !!!! Not letting me discourage myself i decide another time to reinstall my Windows XP from scratch and no luck it won't start !!!!

Hummmm? well !!!! what should i do ??????????? You know by nature i am patient but i think that for that piece of software my patience is almost out !!!!!!

So Frey guys what should i do ?????

I was able to got some dos console info but it was very hard due to the fact that the windows close too fast but here his a part of the error i get when trying to start either SageTv or SageRecorder: Failed to find: \\?\Display#ntativrvxx#5&3da9d .............

Desperatly waiting for a solution !!!

Jeff, has been looking for someone to see if Sage is working with a non-english OS as well to see if that problem is corrected.

I am using a Hauppage WinTV PVR 350 NTSC.

There will be a new beta out today that fixes this problem. What's happening is it's trying to load your ATI capture card by default instead of the Hauppauge card.

If you edit the .properties file for Sage and modify it so:
mmc/last_encoder_name=Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture

(or however that's spelled in your language) then it'll work in the build you have.

Hey guess what it work !!!! was able to start SageTV and configure it. Do some showshifting an recoding. I then close SAGETV to do something else and start it again WHAT it won't start!!!!!!!!!!! I have this error now: AN EXCEPTION OCCUR IN JAVA JavaLangNumberFormatException¶......

Be honnest with me should i give up with this and look for something else?

There's an MPEG file with this 140651150_1_0331_1900 name or something similar to it in the video directory for SageTV. Delete that file and you'll load OK.
