I 'think' you can use the same batch files cayers was using and use the "other programs" menu in SageMC. Its been a while but i think that is how I did it for a while.

works perfectly

make text below a .cmd file and change the destination and file format to suit your needs. I use the one that is un-remarked for my setup.

you can figure out what you need from the batchfile....

REM Un-comment the type of RIP you'd like to use
REM change the /SRC parameter to use your DVD drive
REM change the /DEST parameter to use your selected drive/folder

REM command line below will RIP ONLY the MOVIE "/FILES MOVIE"
rem "C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter\DVDdecrypter.exe" /MODE FILE /SRC D: /DEST f:\DVDs\[DISC_LABEL]\VIDEO_TS /FILES MOVIE /Start /Close

REM command line below will RIP ALL movie files "/FILES ALL"
"C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter\DVDdecrypter.exe" /MODE FILE /SRC D: /DEST f:\DVDs\[DISC_LABEL]\VIDEO_TS /FILES ALL /Start /Close

REM command line below will RIP ONLY the MOVIE in IFO mode keeping only video and 0x80 audio
rem "C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter\DVDdecrypter.exe" /MODE IFO /SRC D: /DEST f:\DVDs\[DISC_LABEL]\VIDEO_TS /FILES MOVIE /Start /Close

EXIT

Thanks!

I use DVDDecrypter as well as DVD shrink, etc... this will make it all easier.

Curious, you rip the entire DVD? Will Sage work with the entire DVD? like it is a DVD player? Menus etc? How does that work with sage? or do you use another product to play dvd's?

Thanks again!

Sage will playback DVD file strictures on HDD (VIDEO_TS/*IFO,*.VOB) as if they are a normal DVD. The parent directory of the VIDEO_TS directory will be the name of the DVD shown in Imported Videos

Will it run the menus? play extras/ jump to chapter etc? just like a normal DVD player?

I thought it just played the Vob movies...

FYI, I don't think either of these will result in a playable rip. DVDDecrypter doesn't rebuild the IFO files when it rips part of a DVD, so if you rip anything but the whole DVD, it won't work anymore.

So what program would you use to rip the entire DVD without compressing anything? I'd like to just insert a DVD, click "rip" in SageTV and have the entire DVD copied into my DVD folder so I can play it in Sage just as if I'd enter the DVD.

Is there a step by step instruction manual somewhere? Do I need to use SageMC with it, or can I just use the standard Sage V6 installation?
