The other day I removed a folder from the library in the detailed setup which contained a bunch of mpeg video files. Then a few days later I tried to add it again but it just made the cpu usage jump to 98-99 percent forever. I waited quite some time and then gave up and ended the SageTV task because it wasn't responding anymore.
Then when I tried to restart SageTV on the splash screen when it says importing library it just stays there forever with the same problem. I couldn't get back into SageTV until I renamed that folder to something else. Now I know Sage can handle all the files in that folder because I simply haven't added any files to it between the time I had removed it and attempted to add it again. Maybe the DB is corrupt or something. Any tips? Last edited by ToxMox; 10-27-2003 at 01:27 PM. |

Have you installed any new codecs/demuxes on your system since your last library import? That's what usually causes this problem.

Yes I installed NVDVD after and I don't remember if I installed PowerDVD before or after the first import but they are not the codec being used in Sage. Is there some sort of workaround for this? I don't want to uninstall NVDVD as it took me a while to get my unlock code moved over to this machine. Is there some temporary way to disable certain codecs or to make SageTV ignore them?
