I can hear the MVP through the server

Just got an MVP and I am very happy with it. For me, it just works.

However, one small issue: when someone is using the MVP and another is watching on the server, the server plays the sage navigation sounds from the MVP. It does not play the audio of recorded shows, etc, but the beeps and clicks as the MVP user navigates through Sage are clearly audible...

How do I stop this? I don't really mind losing the navigation sounds on the MVP/Server altogether if necessary.

Disable the sounds on the MVP and you won't hear them on the server anymore.

In SageMC you would go to the clients folder and find the properties file for your MVP. Open the file and set

Code:
sagemc/play_sounds=false
or disable it under the SageMC Options menu.

I don't know about the default STV.

Aloha,
Mike

There aren't any navigation sounds used in the default STV, so I'm guessing this is when using SageMC.

I've never tried using sounds in themes, but there are API calls that can be used to determine whether a remote client is in use, so maybe the STV can be changed to not play the sounds when it notices that it is being used on a remote client like an MVP. If setting that property disables them, then the STV could easily modify the property during a periodic check -- such as when the Main Menu is loaded, or perhaps in the ApplicationStarted hook.
