Well, problem #1 looks like its not actually using the SageMC_16x9.xml STV. Go ahead and click "fall back to default menu" and go into the advanced preferences and load "SageMC_16x9.xml". Secondly, that's a neilm's dynamic menu error you get when you don't have any menu.xml file setup. You can fix that by following the directions on the wiki, and downloading the starter menu.xml he provides.
