Question about installation order.
Is there a specific order you should go in when loading Sage, tuner drivers decoders and codecs? I realize the the tuner has to be installed (with drivers) before Sage, but should the DVD decoders and video codecs be loaded before Sage also?
The reason I ask is, I have Sage running on one of my boxes and doing quite well (it is only used for Live TV and recording. I loaded onlu tuner drivers and Sage. No other decoders / codecs. However, I have another box that is used for a home theater which will do Live TV, recordings/playback and DVDs. This box I am having issues with. I originally loaded my Tuner card drivers and then loaded Sage. Live TV PQ was pretty good and audio was great. DVD video was great, but the audio was not great. Loud parts were LOUD and quiet conversation was a little garbbled and hard to understand. I tried all audio codecs in the DVD section with no success. I decided to load my copy of PowerDVD that I use on my notebook. The DVDs started sounding better, but now Live TV was all static and I had to change the setup for it. I finally got it working, but the PQ is somewhat pixelated, not smooth, but not exactly jerky. So, then I decided to load my Purevideo codec. Again, Live TV was static and I had to tweak too get a picture and it's still not as good as in the beginning. Should I have loaded PowerDVD and Purevideo BEFORE loading Sage? I read in the FAQ section that "Default" changes depending on what was loaded last. I'm curious if doing a complete reload of Sage might help my situation.
Thanks in advance.
