Freezing when trying to watch live TV or recordings

Hi !

My problem : when I try to watch live TV or recordings, Sage sometimes freezes. This means I can't do anything but doing a manual reboot (Windows is completely frozen).

I am using SageTV 5.0.4 with SageMC, Win XP Pro SP2, PVR500 with latest drivers, Java 1.4.2_12.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok...al little more precision because I still have this problem and it's very annoying :

The problem occurs with recordings, too. So I think it's a playback problem. I tried using different video and audio decoders without success. I also tried different settings for the video renderer, to enable/disable 3d acceleration...no success.

It can freeze completely randomely, sometimes as soon as I launch the recording, some times when I press escape to show the popup menu. But I think it always freezes when someting happens (start video, open popup menu,...), but not when watching without any action.

What I noticed yesterday evening is that it is especially sensitive when I toggle fullscreen on/off. But no, I do NOT have FSE enabled.

I own a DELL Dimension 5000, PVR 500, Java 1.4.2_12, SageTV 5.0.4, SageMC 6.12, Nvidia decoder

Thanks again.
