Fixing HD Over Firewire after Reformat
So I've had HD over Firewire working for the past couple months with great results. Due to other issues, I've had to format & reinstall the HTPC.
Now, of course, I can't get the HD over Firewire working. I have the drivers installed and it's detecting a Tuner, Panel & Channel changes through the Firewire work fine. I've put graphedit into a folder and registered proppage.dll & registered the SGraphrecorder dump.ax BUT when I go into GraphEdit, It doesn't seem to want to link the Tuner device to the SGraphrecorder Dump. It gives the following error: Any ideas? Thanx |

Any ideas? I'm still stumped!!
I've even tried reformatting again and I'm still getting the exact same error. What is wrong? What can I try? I've tried updating DirectX, Lastest Purevideo, many versions of Forceware drivers, all versions I can find of the fireseb.msi files. I just can't get the STB to firewire graphedit to work right, I can render other graphs in graphedit (like rendering media). They work fine. Please someone propose some things I can try or where else I can post to try to get help. Please!!!! |

Did you go step by step on the directions? For instance, did you register the libraries mentioned that used to come with graphedit? I know recently when I downloaded graphedit, I had to search to find the libraries that I mention in the install document. Also - did you register the dump filter that came with SGR? Is you graph simply the tuner device --> dump filter?

So I've actually gotten it fixed.
For anyone else who is getting the error: 0x800705aa (800705aa) - Insufficient System Resources exist to complete the requested service. In this case it related to some XP SP2 error relating to Firewire. This Microsoft patch will fix it and all will be well. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=885222 Hopefully this will be able to help someone else in the future. |
