Translating SageMC

Hi all and many thanks for keeping SageMC up to date. With the old version (i mean 5.x) i just modified the .stv to translate it to french because the translation part of SageTV is very poor so i got about 50% of the translation done. This was ok with this old version since there were no update but i would like to do the same with the 6.x version but i don't want the redo the job every time a new release came on. So my question is what can i do to simplify the process of translation between new revision ?

Honestly, no idea. I know that there is a "generate translation source" function in Studio, but I don't know how this is supposed to work. Also there was a thread about translating STVis in the Studio forum, maybe this will give you some help ...

Translation files are mentioned in the Studio manual, around p. 142 in the v6 manual. The default installation includes translation files for the default STV that you can check out.

Be sure to see the note in the v6 Studio manual, which mentions that the wizard/widget_db_file property is used to get the base filename for translations. You'll probably want to change that property to reflect your SageMC usage.
