How Many of You are Waiting for Serial STB Control on Linux?

I would like to know how many of us Linux users of SageTV server are anxiously awaiting the ability to control a set top box via serial interface?

I just recently converted to Linux Sage and I would like to control my Motorola STB with a serail cable I have to code to do this but I have no idea how to add this as a plugin any ideas?

Files for Serial STB Control

I have attached the code that is available from Mythtv for controlling a Motorola STB with a serial cable if anyone can help. Thanks
