I've attached the updated STVi so people don't need to download the whole thing.

plugging away...

I am trying to pinpoint where my problem lies. I am just wondering what exactly happens when I choose: Compress and Burn to DVD. I know that the video tools STVI generates the qdvd files (and this happens).

However, it does not generate the jpg to be put in sageothers folder and Dirmon2 sits idle. Is it Dirmon2 or the STVI that creates the jpg? And what exactly does Dirmon2 do? What does Dirmon2 do with the qdvd files?

Thanks again!

The STVi should create a jpg right at the same time that it creates the qdvd file. There should be some dvdList.log file that gets created in the qdvd folder everytime you schedule a DVD, can you find that and post it for me?

dvdlist.log

Hey EP,

thanks for answer so quickly. I posted the dvdlist.log in message 214 in this thread. I changed it to dvdlog.txt to upload it.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Thanks!

Opps, sorry!

This line stood out to me,

"C:\sageOthers \Law and Order Special Victims Unit .dvdList.0.burn_i.jpg"

It looks like you might have an extra space in your perl2dvd.properties file after "C:\sageOthers". Try taking that out and see if it works.

AH HA!

Ok, now there are files appearing in the sageothers folder. I had to remove the space from sage.properties as well as perl2dvd.pref.

Next question, if I go to other programs and click on the icon, should something happen? Is there a way to verify.

Thanks again!

Nope, nothing happens when you click it until the icon turns into a DVD rather than a colored bubble. Dirmon2 is supposed to kick everything off, which updates the picture depending on the status.

EP,

When I use SEND TO in SageMC 6.32 and then Compressed video all I get is a blank Screen. No profiles show up.

Also it seems if I set up a favorite and I change the profile it defaults back to 2-Pass Xvid. When I display the favorite again.

I <3 Studio

Yeah good find, I can duplicate both of those. I'll take a look at it tonight.

This should fix it. Can someone please test it and verify before I do a full release?

Hi EP,

your help has been invaluable so far. I dont get why dirmon2 wont kick in. I left the computer running all night and I still get the yellow ball in other programs.

I wonder if i might be missing something.

Thanks for checking it out I'll go post the new updated version on sourceforge right now.

Right now, the job get stuck in limbo and never finished. All you can do is delete everything and remake the job.

I'm working on a way to handle this better in the next version.

The script is just waiting for the .edl file to be created so it can cut the commercials. You can disable this if you want to in the perl2dvd.advanced.prefs.

Ok I understand I like that feature. I will just run Comskip against it thanks.

Once again thanks

1 more question. I do not cut commercials so I chose not to cut commercials but wait for EDL. I do want comskip to run first thats why I chose wait for EDL. Will this work?
