Ok, i looked into this once before... and I couldn't get good DVDs burned. The audio is out of sync. I just updated to the latest version and still have the same thing. My recordings are originally from a Network Encoder using the Mytheatre plugin, which I am told may have some bad information in the .Mpg, which is why this may be occuring.

Is there any way to change the encoding settings that might get good transfers to DVDs? What settings should I look at changing?

Anyone have any ideas for anything to try?

Also, a few other minor things...

When selecting to send the completed project to be burnt to DVD, it puts the Sage Screen Saver on, and I can't get it to do anything with the remote... I have to select it with the mouse, which I never use and isn't easily assesible in order to get it back working, is there a way to solve this.

And, there is an old project sitting in the Other Programs folder which has long had its associated files deleted, how do I remove it from this folder?

You're audio sync problem won't be fixed until I finish the next version which I hope will be before the end of March.

Also, to delete the job, just go into the C:\sageOthers folder and delete the jpg and shortcut.

Hi Evil

I have SageTV 6.1.3, SageMC 6.3.2c, JDK 6 + your video tools 2.0.1a and I cannot get the dvd menu to show in the "Send To..." menu. The option for DVD burning *is* enabled in the sagemc extra menu.

What may cause the option in the send to menu not to show??? Your dvd tools used to work perfectly and after too many upgrades I cannot burn dvds anymore :-( I'm close to dig myself in your code to figure this out!

Well, before your eyes explode from looking at my code, you might want to try backing off to a fresh SageMC 6.3.2c and trying the import again if you haven't already. Let me know if that works.

Yesterday I extracted all the files from 6.3.2c and moved them in my sagetv directory then reloaded a fresh sagemc.xml file into sagetv. Then I added your videotools but no luck. Still no DVD burning

Same issue -> No Sent To DVD option

I've followed the instructions and despite what I choose on the SageMC:Extras's menu, I CAN get Compress to show up, but not DVD burning (or whatever it's supposed to say). It seems that the CadErik has the same problem. I'm open to ideas. I'm up to date on everything, except I don't have the c version of 6.3.2 CadErik said that upgrading to 6.3.2c didn't fix his problem though.

Ok, here is my setup. I'm willing to experiment (upgrade various components) to help eliminate variables, but any variable (e.g., java version) that we have that's different may be logically ruled out as the problem since we have the same problem. Anyway, I'm open to suggestions.

Software Version: SageTV V6.0.19.120
Java Version: 1.4.2_12
SageMC STV Version: 6.3.2
Relevant Import: SageMC_VideoTools_STVi_2_0_1a.xml
All Other Imports: Just MovieTimes and VideoEdit

SageMC STV Version: 6.3.2c
Relevant Import: SageMC_VideoTools_STVi_2_0_1a.xml
All Other Imports: Sage Webserver version 2.13
SageTV is in service mode with placeshifter enabled

Hmm.. So it's not unique to our sage version, java version, specific version of the stv, or imports. I don't use service mode, so it's probably not that either. I'm just brainstorming, but maybe it is some setting we both choose in the general sagemc settings, or maybe in the perl2dvdsetup choices we made.

My fam actually want to WATCH tv , so I have to stop tinkering for now, but I'll rerun the perl2dvdsetup an post my choices to see if that helps. I thought this would be easier, but since our setups are so different, the difference between us and those who got this working fine must be something pretty small.

I finally got my dev notebook back from the repair shop so I'll mess around with the latest versions of everything this weekend to make sure everything is still working properly.

Hi evilpenguin, if there are any setup details or log files that I can send to help with the problem CadErik and I are having, please let me know. I'm also willing to try out any tests on my own system that might help.

Finally...where is your [DONATE HERE] button?!

Edit: I just answered my own question. Now to load the plain version of SageMC (to start over) do I just load the SageMC16x9.xml rather than SageMC16x9-1.xml?

My goal this weekend is just to load up fresh copies of everything (including windows) and verify that the stuff that I think work still works.

Oh, and if you're looking to donate, there's a button on the download page that will give the funds directly to the good people at sourceforge. Feel free to use it at will

Same here

when I installed the latest code I get the "Send to" option of "compress video" but the popup dialog is empty.

Running 6.1.7.132 RC
windows xp all patched
JVM 1.5.0_11
STV Version 6.3.2

Hope the rebuild this weekend helps out.

Are you sure you a) disabled the default compression and b) enabled my compression?

yeah, 2.5 alpha is problem #1. There's no STV support for that yet, go with the 2.0.1.

Secondly, in the SageMC options in the Extra's you can enable my plug-in features.
