Imported video playback issues

I'm having an odd issue playing back my ripped DVDs and am hoping someone can suggest a solution.

I've ripped my DVD to my file server, have every setup to play them back in Sage. However, I'm having an issue during chapter changes during playback. Periodically, I can never complete a movie, Sage just hangs during playback. After hanging, it does not use and CPU, just sits there. This happens on both the server and client. I can get it to fail everytime, but just turning the mouse wheel to change chapters. It will also fail during "normal" playback.

On my client I'm running the Purevideo decoders, and on the server I tried both elecard and the sage decoders. When playing back a ripped DVD, what settings apply? Video or DVD?

Additionally, I play back all my recordings, HD and SD, from the file server so I do think it servers the files correctly.

Ideas?

thanks,
