Available space from more than one location.
I'm a long time BTV user sick of some of the small things that haven't been addressed.
Does Sage display an "available hours" indicator. If so, how does it calculate the number. BTV only uses the default recording directory. If the default can fit 40 hours but you also have 500 hours of space available on a mapped drive the BTV interface only shows 40 available. Would Sage show 540? |

Sage uses the space on all recording drives and guestimates hours based on specified recording quality.

You can also enable a 'recording status bar' that is visible at the top of the menu screens that shows how much is currently used and what will be used for recordings in the next 48h compared to how much is available.
Here's an example I found on google image search:

BTW: the System Information screen always shows the total space available, but if you want something like the disk space bar in the above screen capture, that would be part of the 'secret' hidden features -- the customizations section of the forum has a sticky thread with a link to the hidden features & other customizations: List of available customizations.

Also, it can go up to 200 hours, it's configurable.

Also, as an aside, is it configurable for HDTV and SDTV? |

And yes, it does offer lookahead calculations for HDTV as well. One of the diskbar options is to set the estimated HDTV bitrate, so that the calculations can be finetuned to your specific HD programming. |

Nielm's dynamic menu add-on also lets you add a nice disk space indicator at the bottom of the screen. Use this if you don't want to enable any of the other "secret" features.
