Problems with Sage TV V5 Instal Error 1904
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to install the Sage TV V5 software on a windows 2000 Server. During the actual install the following error comes up, "Error 1904 Module C:\ProgramFiles\SageTV\Common\PsisDecd.dll Failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personal.". I have direct 9.0c installed and Java is installed. I have tried re-downloading the sage TV install package with the same results. I am logged in as the admin. I ahve all the service packs installed and all the latest updates applied for Windows 2000. Does anyone have any ideas? |

My system crashed and I've had to reinstall. I have perfect backups of everything I need, including the SageTV directory. I installed from the same source that I used to initially install this computer. Win2k, SageTV v5.0.4, Hauppauge v25057, 3x PVR250.
For Java, I've tried multiple solutions. I've used the most current 1.6 Java, the included 1.4 Java, and even an archived 1.5 version. I used the latest 1.6 version on my previous working server with no issue, and hope that's the way to go. I'm having the same problem with v5.0.4 SageTV installer. My installer fails with the same 1904 error message. I've tried to "regsvr32 psisdecd.dll" in the SageTV common directory, and have even got as far as having a working install. The problem comes that the system just freezes, without explanation. Anybody have any ideas? I'm going to try a clean install one more time (4 down so far), but am at my wit's end. Any help greatly appreciated, as the best benefit of SageTV for me is the history of watched TV shows, and I'd hate to have to start from scratch (even if I could, given these errors). Thanks!
