Issue registering Extender/Placeshifter then follow these steps. (SageTV v6.0.18)

Close SageTV and the service. Go into your SageTV folder and make a backup of your SageTV.exe. Now download the attachment and unzip this new SageTV.exe and replace the one located in your SageTV folder. Now you should be able to register your Media Extender / Placeshifter license.

This only holds true if you are using SageTV version 6.0.18 and are having issues registering your key.

It is a little late considering this is a post from 2006, but the file is identified by 18 virus scan engines as containing a Trojan:

Latest version of AVG didn't. And again -it is from 2006. That's the main .exe for the program. I don't think it is anything to worry about. It was a specific exe for a specific version that no one has a use for anyways.

I just removed the file. It is almost certainly a false positive, but the file should no longer be needed by anyone.
