SageMC - Delete DVD folder

I am using the latest SageTV with the latest set of SageMC files.

I rip DVDs to a harddrive and watch them later. After watching a DVD, I would like to delete the folder. Is there a way to do this in Sage?

I would love to be able to do this. This would put Sage ahead of Meedio in the DVD department.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I haven't tried this, but there is a property called directory_deletion_of_dvds_enabled. Try setting it to true & I think the whole DVD would then get deleted if you delete that imported video.

You may have to set it in the server's sage.properties file, even if you are trying to delete from a client, because the server probably always does the deletion.

Andy,

Thank you for the reply. This works with the original STV! Now to figure out how to get it to work with Sagemc.. I tried adding mlbdude/directory_deletion_of_dvds_enabled to all of the *.properties files. Should I ask this question in the Sagemc thread?

If I can't get it to work with Sagemc, I will just have to switch back to the original STV.

This currently does not work in SageMC, but will be added in the next version, probably in a few days.

It turns out it is a property used in the core & default STV... the core won't delete the DVD directory unless the property is true, so the default STV checks the property too before trying to delete a whole DVD directory. I'm guessing SageMC just needs to do the same check.

This has been added to SageMC. Simply set the sage.properties of 'directory_deletion_of_dvds_enabled' to 'true'. Do this with sage and the sage service shut down. This will put a delete button on the main videos screen. When you delete a video, the top level folder isn't deleted, just the contents inside the folder. I simply go through every few months and manually delete the empty folders. Works just fine for me.
