V6 upgrade messed up audio out

I just upgraded to v6 from v5. Everything is upgraded fine, no problems with video. the only problem I have is that now my audio for HD signals does not output dolby digital. I am using Nvidia Audio decoder via SPDIF output. I get sound fine on SD recordings, but when I try to watch a HD signal I only get stereo output. This is from OTA, in v5 it worked fine. I tried messing around with the decoder and renderer settings but it doesnt make a difference.

The only thing I can think of is that the AC3 filter got installed during the upgrade and that is taking over the audio out. To fix this do I just need to reinstall the purevideo decoder pack from Nvidia? I havent had time to work on this much because of family in town, but I am going to try that tonight. Any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Yes, AC3 Filter is now default (why, oh why is this not an option? ) No worries: Go into WMP>DVD>Advanced and you'll see AC3 Filter. Go to the last tab and set "Prefer Other Decoder". Alternatively, Radlight Filter Manager or DirectShow Filter Manager can do the same thing. This is one case where actually choosing the decoders in Sage, instead of "Default" would maybe help.

Reinstalling Nvidia Purevideo fixed the problem. It is strange, I dont use defaults for anything. I set them manually (I thought its safer that way). Its working now though, all is good. Thanks
