I imagine you could set your show in Favorites and specify which channel to record it on. Do one for SD and one for HD. Admittedly although I have both SD and HD tuners, I havn't tried doing that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Great I have a different situation but same question (my client can't play HD but I want to record it for the TV my server is on).
So if I set up 2 favorites, 1 that records on the HD channel and 1 that records on the normal channel. Will both shows be set to "watched" when I watch them? Is there a way to make it do that?
