Complete Band of Brothers on History channel 1/6-1/7

Just a note to let everyone know that the History channel is running all 10 episodes of Band of Brothers this weekend. Not sure how they'll handle commercials/cursing, but even with edits, this is worth recording. This is priority 1 in my sage recording list! You can bet I'll be archiving these and burning backup DVD's.

Note that each episode is something like an hour and 10 minutes, probably to add ads without cutting out bits of the show.

Enjoy!

Jason

I think the likelihood of my getting cable installed by saturday is very low (new subdivision) but the developer is working on it.

I've been waiting to record this for the longest time.

Hope the cable guy shows up soon! Not to fear, if you have HBO I'm sure it will re-air sometime, and if not it's one of the few shows that might be worth the price of a DVD box-set (currently used for $34 on amazon)

Thanks for the heads up. I've wanted to get all these recorded.

Interestingly for me in the EPG they have the Bastogne episode listed twice and are missing the Breaking Point episode. Hopefully this is just a mistake in the EPG.

I think it's just your EPG. On the history channel website, they have the correct order: http://www.history.com/schedule.do?a...0&timeZone=EST

Might want to force Sage to record the mislabeled one so that it doesn't skip it as a duplicate episode.

Sure, that this is not cut? 10 mins for adds doesn't seem enough...

Not sure at all, especially because if I remember right, there is some adult language and other situations that might not make it past the censors for weekend day programming slots. But I think it's actually 1 hour 20 minutes per show, and a couple of them are even longer, so I'm guessing that they're cutting a very minimal amount.

Thanks for the heads up.

I also see Bastogne listed twice, but I'm sure its just an EPG error.

Interesting, I setup a manual record on all 10 episode, but episodes 2 and 5 did not record

I have no idea why they did not record as I did not have anything else recording. rrr
