are we there yet? wiz.bin restore/recover

hi guys,

does a restore/recover/rebuild utility for the wiz.bin exist yet?

my OS/Sage disk crashed some time ago and wiz.bin lost track of
the data drives where all my recordings were. all my shows that
SAGE had recorded over the last couple of years are still there in
their original forms, but the rebuilt wiz.bin can't see them.

i'd like to rebuild wiz.bin so that it sees all those old shows, and of
course, keep the new ones too...

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If your wiz.bin was trashed and you started over with a fresh wiz.bin, then the EPG info for those old shows is lost. The video files themselves do not contain a copy of the EPG info. So unless you were running Nielm's XML file generator or some other third-party tool that mirrors EPG data to external files, that data is just gone and there's no getting it back.

If that's the case, then the old recordings should still show up as imported videos, and you should still be able to play them. You just won't have detailed program info for them.
