How well does it perform?
I have a Mac Mini at home and I'm going to be purchasing a MacBook Pro soon. I want to be able to watch TV when I'm not home, so I'm thinking of getting a TV tuner and Placeshifter.
My first question is, how much is this going to affect my cable internet connection at home? When other people are at home using the internet, are they going to notice a big difference in bandwidth? If so, will they notice the difference all the time or only when I'm logged in a watching TV?
I also want to know how good the picture and audio quality tends to be. I don't expect it to be crystal-clear, but will it be decent?
Can I use this with digital cable if I upgrade from basic cable? I know I'd have to have a TV tuner that supports digital, but from Sage's standpoint, are there any limitations? Would three-digit channels cause a problem?
Thank you.
