How to update the firmware on the Media MVP

Can someone help me and review the steps necessary to update the firmware on a MVP (non wireless)? I have three units -- all with different firmware levels and I would like to get all the units upgrades to the latest level.

You can't change the firmware version. I have a ver 1.0 and 2 ver 2.05's.

A few people have contacted hauppauge and they say just download the new software as once its booted they all run the same software, but actually changing the firmware isn't possible

I understand that the operating program is downloaded from the server at each bootup. I've read about different versions.

The "firmware" is just a bootloader, essentially, that is, firmware that's in non-volatile memory.
