HD Antenna w/ AverMedia A180 indoors

Good evening. I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations on an 'indoor' antenna to use with this card. Currently, I'm using a silver sensor which picks up most of the UHF stations on the 1st floor, and all UHF stations when I move it to the 2nd floor. Now, the issue is if someone walks between the antenna and the towers, pixelation occurs.

I'm still living in an apartment and do not have common area on the east side of my residence, which faces all towers (all are located on the same mountain-top). I'm thinking of ordering a DB2 and placing it in the window, since I believe the angle would be dead-on. Is this a good idea? I wish I could pick up Ch 13 as well, but I can't find a 'flat' style VHF antenna.

Anyone have any luck with antennas on window sills??
