Similar issue here

I have a 2 monitor setup on my dual G5 Mac and I'm using Placeshifter on it. I can watch anything just fine on my primary monitor which has an AGP ATI Radeon 9600XT. I can see the menu screens for Sage just fine on either monitor, but video playback is very dim on my second monitor, on an older PCI 32MB ATI Radeon, which has up to date drivers. Curiously, if I drag the window from my primary monitor to the secondary monitor, the video plays smoothly on both monitors with the video divided between them. Starting playback on my primary monitor the video will play clearly until the window is 50% onto the secondary monitor. With 50% or more of the window on the second monitor the video will suddenly go very dim. If I start any video playback on my secondary monitor, it is totally black screened with audio only, even if I drag the window back to my primary monitor. All attempts at playing video will be black screened until I close the window and reconnect using my primary monitor for playback. Hope this helps!

I moved your Mac Placeshifter issue out of one that was talking about Placeshifter on Windows. (or at least I believe that was its topic...)

There may not yet be a lot of people with Mac Placeshifter experience, so you may want to contact SageTV support.

The card with the problem is not Quartz Extreme enabled, it's a PCI card - I'm not sure if quartz extreme runs on PCI cards at all.

I don't even know if it is a requirement or not. I have an older mac with a non qe card and mac ps runs like crapola.

It runs fine on everything else.

I'm the guy who owns the other license
Looks like you need at least the FX 5200 or some ATI 9600 (9550) if that is the problem.
