Client Licenses for SageTV version 2.x

If I purchase a new current SageTV 6.x client license will it still work on my SageTV 2.x system as a full client?

I have the client 2.x software but need an additional license and I am not in a position to upgrade due to a very complex Firewire setup that I have working perfectely. It it works dont break it.

I'm pretty sure that a v6 client license will not work w/a v2 client, but you could email SageTV to confirm.

How about the reverse?

Will a SagetTV Client V2 key work on V6 Client?
